Egloshayle Cottage is aptly named meaning “Church on the Shore” and was once part of the Church grounds, the pretty historic church steeple can be admired from the sweeping natural gardens and manicured grounds. This historic property located in this traditional Cornish village, is known to the locals as “The Secret Garden” and is surrounded by ancient walled gardens, only viewable through the pretty peekaboo gate from the footpath. A truly inspirational property for visitors captivated by history, artistic retreats or a lovely multi-generational family getaway.
SLEEPS
Up to 6x Guests across 3x bedrooms. Under 2’s can be accommodated with the hire of a Travel Cot at booking for £20pw.
BEDROOMS/ BATHS
Three bedrooms, located on the first floor. Two double bedrooms and a charming twin bedroom. All rooms include wardrobe space for hanging. The main bathroom is located on the first floor with bath and separate shower cubicle. The ground floor also offers a separate WC off the utility room.
BEDDING & TOWELS
Each room comes dressed with fresh bed linen, 100% linen duvet covers and goose down duvets and pillows. Egyptian cotton towels are provided in each bathroom and additional towels are paced in each bedroom. Please bring your own beach towels.
KITCHEN/ DINING
The kitchen boasts a lovely large central island providing ample space for any culinary adventures and entertaining, dishwasher and cast iron AGA cooker. The large utility room adjacent, large american style fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and picnic baskets. The sweeping garden has amble seating with cushions and tables, as well as a BBQ, coals can be purchased at the local shops. The large dining table is located in the garden room to enjoy your meals immersed in nature and the beautiful grounds.
PETS
Our properties all welcome well behaved dogs, we ask that they are limited to the lounge and kitchen areas and not allowed upstairs or on to furniture. Treats and water bowls are provided. An additional cleaning fee of £25pw per dog applies. (Max. 2 dogs)
CHILDREN
Children are very welcome at Egloshayle, the property offers a separate games room located under the garage equipped with Smart TV, an X-Box, table football, board games and arts supplies. Travel cots & high chairs can be provided upon request for an additional fee of £20pw.
ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Check in is available from 4pm and check out is 10am the morning of departure. 3 night stays are available between October and April (excluding school holidays). Bookings run Friday to Friday.
PARKING
Off road parking is available onsite with use of the private and garage that will fit one standard size vehicle, that backs on to the grounds of the property. The local car park is a few minutes walk further down the same street. This is priced at £25pw via an app or pay and display.
PRICES
Egloshayle Cottage’s off peak prices range from £1400 - £1800 for a 7x days stay and peak season from £2100 - £2750 for 7x days stay.
ADDED EXTRAS
Wifi is provided throughout the property via Halo home network, Smart TV in lounge and Hive central heating. Molton Brown shampoo, conditioner and toiletries provided in each bathroom. Hair dryer provided. Some log, kindling and matches for wood burner to get started with. Please bring extra for the winter months. This can also be purchased at the local shops.
